The wonderful dry and hot September and October enabled us to have a very good follow on vintage to the 2003. Winter was quite mild but very long. There was very cold and rainy period during the blossoming season. Thankfully, autumn had changed our expectations. Berries had concentrated aroma and nice, very clean, fruity flavour because of the hot autumn and low crop. Acidity which was sharp at the end of August smoothens. So structure of our wines is very promising. This lovely Indian summer developed high quality aszu berries in reasonable volume. First macerations are just ready to ferment but it is clear that these wines will have very complex character with long ageing potential.
