Tending towards old gold, the colour is a transmission from golden orange.
On the nose, the first detectable scent is that of the botrytis, followed by some tropical fruit hints, thank to the relatively high acid content.
The freshly harvested, well matured lemon, orange than apricot appears afterwards.
On the palate, there is the primary taste of the fresh tropical fruits, mixed with the characteristic orange-peel like flavour and some quince.
The wine shows full harmony with the scent.
The relatively high sugar content is compensated by the high acidity, that characterises the vintage of 1999.
It has a long finish. Its’ acids are a bit in the front at this age of maturity, but giving the guarantee of the greater longevity and for being a delicious drink of the next years or decades.
