Sugar increase stopped somewhere at the beginning of September in this year. This helps us to produce lovely dry Furmint wines with moderate alcohol and perfect balance.
Pale green colour, with nose of white peach and apricot. The delicate palate showing exotic fruits. Well-balanced with a long finish. Serve at 12-13 Cº
ROYAL TOKAJI LATE HARVEST 2011
After a mild and dry winter budding started by the 10th April; both blossoming and berry setting were very good. However, there was nearly as much rain in July itself as during the six months before. Vineyard managers had to run a very careful spraying program during the month.
Berries looked really nice and sugar was as high as usually by the end of August. Everybody agreed that the vintage had looked perfect. Looking back meteorology database and comparing this year data to 2003, they look very similar during the first eight months of the years.
