The grapes were harvested between the 28th of October and the 4th of November. After destemming we macerated the grapes in the presses overnight. After pressing the juice was allowed to settle (at 10 °C) for 2-3 days before racking. Fermentation in tank with our own was followed by a 2-3 months of barrel maturation for most of the lots.
Serve at 12°C on its own or with foie gras. Also ideal with aromatic and spicy Asian cuisine and fresh fruits..
ROYAL TOKAJI LATE HARVEST 2016
Our Late Harvest has pale gold colour with delicate citrus and spicy aromas. Light and refreshing on the palate with hints of white peach and honey. It has an excellent acid balance, a smooth, silky texture and a clean, long, crisp finish.
In 2016 after a succesful ripening season we could harvest high quality grapes in high volumes. In this wine Furmint has been blended with the wonderful Hárslevelű and Yellow Muscat grape varieties.
