Medium deep amber colour. Well-developed nose of prunes and figs, chocolate and a hint of tobacco. Concentrated dried fruits and a wonderful acidity typical of the 1999 vintage.
NYULÁSZÓ – 1ST GROWTH TOKAJI ASZÚ 6 PUTTONYOS 1999
It is clear that 1999 is a great Aszú year. The Royal Tokaji Wine Company believe that it is on a par with the famous 1993 vintage, the first outstanding year for Tokaji after the fall of the Iron Curtain. Whereas the 1993 vintage had impressive concentration and structured richness, the hallmark of the 1999 vintage is one of unbelievable acidity wrapped in perfectly balanced fruit. The Royal Tokaji Wine Company picked the majority of their Aszú berries in perfect weather conditions during late September and early October.
