The 1996 Nyulászó displays aromas of fig, honey, orange peel, bread crust and a touch of minerality. On the palate, orange peel, walnut, citrus and grapefruit flavors mingle together, leading to a nicely balanced finish.

Spring came later than usual to Tokaj, delaying budbreak about a week. The remainder of the summer was rainy, although not too cold. October and November were very sunny and dry, with the grapes ready to harvest by mid-November.
