The vintage started with good conditions but rain during flowering reduced volumes considerably. Summer was hot, particularly in August, with above average rainfall but September was largely dry and we picked in good conditions at the end of the month. The vintage gave classic, structured wines with firm acidity and medium body with considerable ageing potential.
Hárslevelű grapes were harvested at the end of September. Whole bunches were pressed and fermented in new Zemplén oak barrels. After fermentation, we matured the wine for eight months in 300 litre barrels.
A superb companion to white meats, veal, and pork dishes. Serve cool and enjoy with your main course.
