BIRSALMÁS – TOKAJI ASZÚ 6 PUTTONYOS 2007

This year held many challenges but we are delighted by our 2007 Single Vineyard Aszú wines. They are rich and beautifully balanced and represent a pinnacle amongst recent vintages. The winter was mild but very dry with no frost to speak of. Sometimes this can encourage disease in the vineyard but thanks to our vineyard management the vines remained healthy. Spring was dry and warm until the end of May when the heavens opened

The Birsalmás vineyard produces wines which are minty and elegant with hints of quince, honey, peaches and ripe melons. Birsalmás aszu 2007 has an amber colour and a very clear and strong character. On the palate, quince and pear dominate.
