Furmint grapes were harvested in October and at the beginning of November. After pressing, the settled juices were fermented in tanks and maturation took place for one year in barrels.
It is the traditional late harvest of Tokaji.
Serve at 12°C on its own or with foie gras. Also ideal with aromatic and spicy Asian cuisine, fresh fruits and light desserts.
ROYAL TOKAJI SWEET SZAMORODNI 2017
Pale gold colour with delicate citrus and spicy aromas. Rich, but refreshing on the palate with hints of white peach and honey. It has an excellent acid balance, a smooth, silky texture and a clean, long-lasting finish.
After a chilly January, the temperature has rose step by step and continuously. Relatively high temperatures in summer contributed to a quite early ripening and the early set of the botrytis. An outstanding vintage with nice balance in the dries and unbelievable richness in the sweets.
