Excellent quality Aszú berries with good structure and perfect botrytis were macerated in fermenting must for two days. After pressing and fermentation the wines had a perfect balance. The wines were filled into 300 or 500 litre Hungarian oak casks in our extensive, deep, underground cellars to mature for over two years. The final blends were crafted early summer 2017 and than bottled in September.
Enjoy now or cellar for future enjoyment as the wine matures. Sip on its own as an aperitif, serve with fruit based desserts or hard cheeses or enjoy this mouth-watering wine on its own instead of a dessert. Serving temperature 10˚ – 13˚C.
ROYAL TOKAJI ASZÚ 5 PUTTONYOS 2014
Intense nose with lots of botrytis. Great structure with flavours of citrus, peach and figues, a fine balance of sweetness and acidity and a long finish.
The start of the vintage was characterized by a mild winter and little rain, although the mornings were quite misty. The rains arrived in July and lasted until harvest, which strongly influenced the quality of the crop and harvest. During the harvest we selected many time carefully for all qualities.
